  1. I remembered that there is a tool that helps you to create whiteboard animation videos. Is that any good for a business?

    • Hi Aira, Anastasia Melet from Animatron here. Our customers frequently use whiteboard animation videos for business for a number of reasons, with one of the most compelling being that normally whiteboard videos are cheaper to produce since they involve only text and simple illustrations and do not require particular detalization. Besides, whiteboard animation is very versatile and can be applied when creating explainer videos, product demos, presentations, etc., you name it. I personally appreciate whiteboard style for being universal which means that those videos are understandable by almost any audience, in any part of the world, speaking any language. It’s important when, for example, you have to promote your product or service on overseas markets. Hope it helps! Cheers

  2. Great article, Gabrielle. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve seen all the video marketing stats and, yet, the numbers never cease to amaze me. I mean, I never thought video could take off how it has, but I am loving it. It is such a great tool for marketers of all sizes, especially the smaller businesses and brands. Anyway, I really love lists like these because you, as you know, you can never have too many tools to make a variety of several different types of videos.I have tried Powtoon and Renderforest and really like them. But I look forward to trying more on this list but would love to add another one here, if that’s cool. I’ve been using slide.ly/promo and they have footage that you can choose from. They have a ton of stuff including animated clips too. Thanks again for this great list.

  3. The report on RenderForest is completely inaccurate and incorrect!
The following is false “The platform is completely free to use and users can produce and export an unlimited amount of high quality videos “. You cannot export any high quality videos for free. Only very low quality videos full of adverts and marketing images, which is of course completely unusable. E.g. to export one medium quality video costs $19.95 and higher quality costs much more.

  4. Unfortunately, most of the web pages and the ads for animation software is deceptive, misleading, or outright false. All of them advertise “free” in one form or another but as a commenter above noted, any usable forms aren’t actually free at all, they require a monthly subscription. I’d prefer to buy the software as opposed to a monthly fee but any of the packages that advertise “free” and then want to charge for a usable product are automatically stricken from my list of possibilities and I also let clients know the same.

    • I agree Robert, as I am learnng this as I go through the list – looks like most of these want a monthly subscription of anywhere of $89+. I’m not a desktop publisher or I would invest in the software myself.

Now creating animated videos doesn’t difficult anymore. I have also created animated explainer videos for my educational work that helps me a lot in defining my topic to the understudies online.

  5. I had no idea that there were so many kinds of animation services. This is a really cool thing to look into as you want to make sure that you are picking the right service. My cousin would love knowing that there are engaging services.

  6. These tools are friendly to use especially renderforest. But the theme is always the same. So why should people have to pay for designs used many times for different businesses? I ordered the same video for video animation at Fiverr. She gave me the video just for $5 with a 3D Logo intro. Which one is good?

    • Annabell, Just saw your comment and wanted to answer this! STAY AWAY from any freelancer on Fiverr/Upwork or elsewhere if they offer you animated logos for less than $100! Why? Because they will sell you a template that has been used several thousand times. These tools above mentioned like Renderforest, at least charge a suitable price for an original template. But the difference is that they don’t sell their templates on marketplaces like Envato. After all, this will give you a better deal than a Fiverr Freelancer who buys a cheap template at Envato for 5$ and offers it to you for 25$. There’s only two ways to get a professional logo animation – 1) THE CHEAP WAY: Use a reputable service like Renderforest or Introbrand because these guys don’t sell their templates for download. 2) THE EXPENSIVE WAY: Hire a PRO freelance motion designer. It will cost you at least $300 to animate your logo. Ultimately its your business that is at stake so decide wisely.

      • You’re Right But I mean to say that these templates are used many times if someone wants to make their logo for his business and template style using in much different platform for marketing so what customer impact on business?

  7. I’m looking for a tool to create educational/informational videos for our staff. We used a company for this, which charged a simple subscription fee for access to all the available tools. It allowed us to choose certain characters and voice styles and we had control over the dialog and movements of the characters. It was a little cheesy and the voices were a bit mechanical and at times mispronounced words that were not well known but it was effective. Unfortunately, this company is out of business and I’m looking for a replacement. Whiteboard and charts and graphics may work for marketing or a customer base but usually not engaging for employees. Any suggestions?

  8. Animation is going to be around for along time! Every business needs video content nowadays to grow. Any of those tools do the job well, but keep an eye on technical and creative quality since some of those tools results look below average and will repel audiences instead of engage them. Ultimately only professional looking video will make it to the top!

    Great article Gabrielle!
I’ve worked for 3 years with animated videos, and I have used Animaker and GoAnimate in the past, with great results.
I recently started using Wideo (https://wideo.co/create-youtube-ad/), and I’m loving it. It’s simplicity and templates make it a really usefull tool when it comes to Video Marketing, in my experience. What are your thoughts?
